Instructions For Applying For A Post-doctoral Position
Applications are to be submitted using the SLS online application system at ansokan.sls.fi. Applications may be written in Swedish, Norwegian, Danish or English.
Kindly note that Post-doctoral positions are announced separately, not annually.
Only fill in the main subject area. Enclose your PhD certificate. A PhD student who has not defended their thesis can apply for the post if the statements of the preliminary examiners are available. These statements must be appended to the application.

Research Plan/Project Plan
The application form includes a section for the research plan. The research plan is not to be submitted as a separate attachment.

Résumé/Curriculum Vitae
The curriculum vitae must comply with the Template for a researcher’s curriculum vitae provided by the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity (TENK).

List of Publications
The list of publications is to be drawn up in accordance with the Academy of Finland’s guidelines, see Guidelines for complete list of publications.

Publication Plan
A separate publication plan should be appended to the application. Any costs of open access publication (excluding hybrid journals) must be factored into the budget.

Data Management Plan
Consider any costs related to data management in the budget. The projects that are granted funding draw up a data management plan.

Budget
State the salary based on the pay conditions at the university where you wish to be employed as a researcher. The budget should also include any travel, publishing, data management, digitisation and other costs.

Referees
Include the names of one to two referees in your application.

Please attach all relevant additional documentation to your application in our online application system. We cannot accept additional documents sent separately.
